West 13th Avenue

1 room available in a 3-bedroom semi-detached house near Burrard and West Broadway. The house is spacious, bright, and in an ideal location. The place has a large living room with a fireplace, an 8-person dining room, ample street parking, a lovely kitchen with a dishwasher, (1) common bathroom, a large backyard, and in-suite laundry. The house is comprised of two floors, with bedrooms + bathroom on the upper floor and the common space on the main floor. There is an extremely friendly elderly gentleman living in a suite below us. The room itself has a south facing window, it is the smallest of the three rooms but can accomodate a queen size bed. We enjoy having friends over for board games, dinners, drinks, and movies, but we are not looking to have parties on a regular basis.

Move-in: August 1st (firm) Commitment: 3-month commitment minimum Rent: $1,050/month + utilities/internet (expect $100/month) Funishings: common spaces are furnished, but we’ll expect you to put in ~$200 to pass along to the previous roomie, but your room is not furnished Pets: as much as we love pets, the landlord doesn’t (I know it is lame)

About you: Sociable and active person who is looking to make this house your home, would love for you to bring your own sense of self to this place (artwork, plants, sports gear, etc..). Given the size of the room, we’re looking for an indivudal (not couple) who mostly works from the office. We want someone who values cleanliness (we are super cute and have a chore wheel), we rarely leave things in the sink, and we both put in the initiative to keep the house clean (i.e. wiping counters, garbage disposal, common laundry, etc…). We’re open to any gender but are looking for someone around the age of 25 who does not smoke cigarettes.

About Malich: Have been in BC since the beginning of winter but grew up in QC. I’m 25 years old and am the type of roomie that is often out of the house doing activities - sailing, skiing, kiteboarding, canoe tripping, running, hiking, spike balling, or happy hour(ing) - if you guessed that I own a hammock, you’d be right. That said, I very much enjoy cooking meals at home, watching netflix or playing board games. Big fan of doggos and am 420 friendly. I work in the real estate development management space (pre-construction project management).

About Matt: Originally from Ontario but have been in Van for a year or so now. Looking to live with like minded people, who like being social, active, but also enjoy time on their own. Spend my days working, watching sports, or at the gym. I enjoy going out for hikes and having a social drink or 2 once in a while. Currently working in the construction industry and as a server, but have gotten my personal training/health coaching certificate and am looking to pivot into that field.
