Unit: 1 Unfurnished Bedroom in 2 Bed, 1 Bath apartment in Little Italy, lease start date June 1 Price: For one person: $1020 + internet ($21) + hydro ($30 annual avg.)

For a couple: $1360 + internet ($28) + hydro ($40 annual avg.)

Location: This apartment is part of a house on a quiet residential street near Dundas and Bathhurst (Little Italy). Some walking distances include 2mins from Dundas Streetcar, 5mins from Bathhurst streetcar, 10mins from 63-Ossington bus, 5mins from Trinity Bellwoods Park, 15mins from Chinatown, 20mins from the nearest subway stops (St Patrick to the east and Christie to the north), and very importantly — 2mins to a 7/11 for all your emergency hot dog needs.

What is your relationship to the unit: Tenant looking for a new roommate, or two roommates (if you’re a couple sharing a room). TBD on whether you will be added to the lease and have an agreement with the landlord herself, or sign a roommate agreement with me and pay rent to me.

Lease terms: 9+ months with possibility to renew

Additional Information: You’ll have a HUGE bedroom with a front-facing window, ceiling fan, closet, and tons of other built-in storage space. The other bedroom is on the opposite side of the house, so you won’t have to share a wall with anyone. The shared space in the apt isn’t the largest (one open-concept space for kitchen/living room), but it does have a beautiful skylight and high ceilings. The bathroom will be shared, and has both a bathtub and a shower. Unlike your bedroom, the living space is already furnished, but if you have any special pieces of living room furniture/decorations you’d like to bring with you we can totally work something out. With the other apartments in the building (5 total), we share the washer/dryer (located in a laundry room right across the hallway from our unit), and also an outdoor patio space with charcoal and gas barbecues.

Pets: Although I don’t have any pets myself, the lease is pet friendly and pet owners are more than welcome!

Accessibility: The apartment is on the first floor of the house and stairs aren’t required for access.

Hi! My name is Judy (she/her) and I’m a 25-year-old, bisexual, cis woman. I’ve been sharing this amazing apartment with a roommate I met in this group, but she’s moving back to Montreal next month, so I’m looking for someone else. I’ve been really lucky to have had developed good friendships with roommates in the past and would love to live with people who I can be friends with and do fun things together from time to time.

I’m a full-time Mechanical Engineer, my work is technically in person but I do get to work from home from time to time when I get some leeway. When I’m home, I love to curl up and watch (a lot of) movies, read, put on some records and have a solo dance party in my room, or dabble in the arts (I love making paintings for friends!). I also like to have visitors/friends over to hang out at home and hope you do too.

I’m not the pickiest when it comes to roommate lifestyles/cleanliness and I usually just end up adapting to the standards of whoever I’m living with at the time. The thing I care about the most in a new roommate is that you’re respectful of my Korean culture (if you’re gonna make weird comments about the groceries I buy or the meals I cook, I don’t need you in my life). That being said, respect obviously goes both ways, and I want to stress that this place will be a safe space regardless of your sexuality, identity, race, religion, or culture.
