King Street West

Gutting and rebuilding the basement this 1850’s limestone church is a labour of love. Many different local builders, artisans and crafts people were employed to create a space that is welcoming, creative and inspirational while still honouring the history of the building, the village and the original architecture.

There are many little design details that harken the past such as the beds and bedside tables that were designed using the irons of the old church pews which were sand blasted and repainted and incorporated into the structural design of the furniture. The custom tile and pebble floor in the showers reflect the amazing pebble beaches only a 2 min walk down to the waterfront. The lovely minimal Kitchen and bathroom cabinets were created by a local young carpenter who spent many an hour working around all the funny inconsistencies of an old building.

The room comes fully furnished along with a full Kitchen and two bathrooms. You will have two keys for the back doors which is your main entrance way.

This is ABSOLUTELY a space for non-smokers. No smoking around the building outside or in the yard obviously either. If you have a guest with you that is a smoker please make sure that they go for a walk away from the church to do so and not in the back yard or driveway and certainly never in our space.

Currently there are three other female students living in the basement suite.
