A beautiful and spacious bungalow with 5 bedrooms, swimming pool and large backyard space, located right next to a bus stop and in close proximity to public schools and the University of Waterloo.

The room offered is on the main level, has a walkout to the backyard/pool, and is over 250 sqft. A bathroom is located nearby. Room can be furnished or unfurnished.

We are looking for someone to help take care of my parents, who occupy a few rooms in the house. My dad has Parkinson’s (though often mobile on his own still) and gets 1 PSW visit daily, and my mom has memory and cognitive issues. At present, we have one Indian family with their 2 small children (6 and 2.5 years old) living in one bedroom, and are looking for someone to live in a work exchange set up, perhaps about 1.5 hours of assistance a day. This could include things like making chai, preparing meals, helping with tidying/laundry, etc. We can discuss, and can work around your school/work schedule as needed.

I myself (the son), live in the same neighborhood, and would also be on hand much of the time providing care/meals, and would occupy one bedroom at times, along with my friendly mini-bernedoodle dog. Although not a requirement, being familiar in prepping Indian meals, and speaking Hindi/Punjabi would be quite beneficial (both my parents do speak English though).

A quick Google search of “urban sanctuary near UW” will show the model of the current house I manage near this one, a mini community based on shared responsibility and conscious living!
