Urban Homestead Intentional Living House in Rossland:
I have one bedroom in my house available for rent to a single or couple who is here for the ski season. Downtown Rossland.
Can be a little flexible on move in/ move out dates, but looking for December to April.
We have a bit of an “urban homestead cabin” vibe and practice low energy and low waste lifestyle, and our ideal tenant will be on board with this!
If you don’t mind going without a few modern amenities (no central heating, no dishwasher, no clothes dryer, no TV), and doing a few extra chores (bringing in wood, making fires) and being intentional with your food, purchases and habits (mindful of packaging, food waste and electricity use), this might be a good fit for you!
There is a lot of snow shoveling (if it’s a good snow year!) that we all share.
ABOUT YOU: aged 24+, value cleanliness & tidiness, employed full-time, healthy lifestyle.
ABOUT THE HOUSE: Funky, colourful house, small but functional kitchen, walking distance to grocery store, ski hill shuttle, and basically everything in town. We heat with wood, so it’s a sweater/slipper kind of place, and you need good winter PJs- mornings can be chilly! The central areas get toasty, but the bedrooms are pretty cool.
ABOUT THE ROOM: Small, furnished, mainfloor bedroom, with your own bathroom nearby and external closet for extra storage.
$750 for a couple, $1000 for a single person, plus a share of the elecricity bill (which is low because we don’t use much!).

About us: In our mid30s, work Mon-Fri, homebodies in the evenings, enjoy skiing, gardening, cooking, hunting, foraging, reading, movies and going to bed early. We have a cat.
