About the room
Hey there! My name is Rich and I’ve been involved in community style living for over 25 years. I took the lease on for this 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 1 1/2 kitchen place several years ago with the idea of building a hub for like minded, counter-culture-ish folk that need/are looking for a transitional/short term place to stay, while enjoying stability, group living and self growth/development. We’re located in an older, established, central neighbor hood, close to shopping, transit, large parks and downtown. There is plenty of parking on the street. Ideally, I’m looking for folk who like to throw/host pot-lucks, workshops, gatherings and respectful gatherings. Self-responsibility, communication skills, and a willingness to actively participate in house maintenance/up keep is a requirement. We have a large heated garage that has been/is used for anything from automotive repairs, to chill space to a performance studio. We also have a lot of garden space, a greenhouse, arts and crafts space/supplies and tools for many purposes. We already have a cat here, so no more free roaming pets, yet we’re flexible around a lot of other things/needs. There is so much more, yet we can speak during the interview process. At the moment, we already have 3 guys and one girl so looking for another Female at the moment.
About the roomies
At the moment, there is: Rich: middle-aged (?) Dude, mostly an introvert yet likes to be involved in co-creating events, doing things, and relaxing. Spiritual by nature, Drywaller by trade, is skilled/knowledgeable about many, many things and enjoys putting these things to use. Jade: Middle aged retail worker. Supper friendly and keeps to them selves for the most part, though is quite active in the house. Nirrim: Early 20’s and working to go to UofC. She’s quite quiet, very friendly and also keeps to herself most of the time. Andrew: Just moving in this month, yet I’ve known him for years and is a super cool Dude.
