David's room

The ocean is right across the street, which dead ends in our block. There is a full ocean view from the living room This is a very peaceful area, very little traffic, the Point Grey bike path goes right by the house and there is a park directly in front of the house bordering the ocean. The ground level suite is 1200 square feet and all of the rooms are a generous size. There is in suite laundry, a quaint kitchen with dishwasher, a large living room, a dining room, a private back patio with a barbecue and table. UBC is 4 km. away and the bus is a short walk of 3 blocks. A former tenant who was a student rode his bike there in 20 minutes.

I have been sharing the suite for the past year with a world traveler from New Zealand who has been working and is ready to further explore the world. It has been an excellent experience; and we have kept a positive, respectful and considerate atmosphere during the past year. As a renter, I have lived in shared housing many times in my life and it has enabled me to have some very comfortable homes, that would otherwise be unaffordable and l have met some good folks and made some lasting friendships. I am retired and I have 2 adult sons and grandchildren that l visit frequently and l do go traveling several times a year. My interests are centred around music, the outdoors, cultural events, and my family. My last two roomies would be available to provide a reference of their experience. one of them lived here for 4 years.
