My apartment building is in a quiet neighbourhood along the Line 2 subway, a few minutes’ walk away from Royal York Station.

Features:

• The room is furnished, with a double bed futon (has a mattress pad), a bookshelf and a desk. Note: actual furnishing in the room is different from the included photo, except for the bookshelf. You will also have a closet and shared storage with the linen closet.
• I have extra kitchen appliances we are willing to share: air fryer, microwave and toaster oven.
• The unit is in a non-smoking, walk-up building, on the top floor.
• The building has one washer/dryer for use in the basement.

IMPORTANT: This apartment is shared with a sweet, friendly and mildly anxious dog—unfortunately not allergy-friendly. I am looking for someone who wouldn’t mind having the company of a dog and be open to babysitting them occasionally (with a little pay, of course).

Hello! I’m KL, a queer woman working in the nonprofit sector, and I’m looking for a roommate to offset the cost of living in the city.

As a Filipina-Canadian, I consider myself a hospitable and warm person who loves to welcome people to my home, so if you’re someone who likes to build intentional friendships with your roommates, I’d be happy to have you! I love to cook and share meals with friends, so you’ll definitely have a good meal or two with me.

In terms of cleanliness habits, overall, I do my best to consistently keep common spaces clean and clear for others to use. Dishes get cleaned up at the beginning and the end of the day, with a general 24-hour rule of being in the sink. And if there are ever any cleanliness or noise concerns, I am always willing to talk through and address them–I really value open communication with my roommate.

I am looking for someone who is queer-friendly, with previous roommate experience–someone openly communicative, considerate and warm. While I don’t expect my roommate to become besties with me, I would like to develop a good connection with whoever lives with me, someone who would have an occasional meal together.

My hobbies and interests include reading, pop culture, cafe-hopping, dancing, cooking and exploring new food places.
