General Description: I’m searching for one roommate (sorry, no couples) to fill the unfurnished second bedroom on June 1st, June 15th or July 1st (I’m flexible on your move in date). This unit is a penthouse suite (top/third floor) of a beautiful character home. 1600 sq.ft. Large open concept (living/family room with north facing views of north shore mountains) with two skylights providing lots of natural light. Spacious full sized kitchen (window overlooking large trees) that includes a dishwasher. One large bathroom with a bathtub/shower combo. In suite clothes washer and dryer (located in the bathroom). Vintage brick accent walls that giving the place New Girl vibes. I have made space for an at home gym that includes dumbells, kettle bells and a pull-up bar that you can use anytime. I like to keep the place clean so I’m looking for a respectful roommate that can help with the communal chores. I’m also a health and environment conscious person so I try to only use natural products for cleaning around the house (I never use toxic chemical cleaners).

Ceiling height is 8’-6“ throughout.

Second Bedroom for Roommate: Large private room (based on Vancouver standards) with one East facing window. Lots of privacy with large trees along the East side of property. Room that has no closet. We can discuss options that could include using the front entrance closet for your exclusive use. Trust me, this place has no shortage on storage space with access to the attic where I store lots of stuff. This room is in photos that currently is my home office and workout equipment (this room will be completely empty by end of May).

Parking: Street parking only, but since it’s in the upscale Arbutus Ridge neighborhood (with well spaced properties) there’s plenty of street parking that is free 24/7 (if you’re use to street parking DT or in Kitsilano, this will be a big stress relief).

The Yard: Well maintained landscape by the Owner that lives on the First Floor. Surrounded by trees and flowers in the Spring/Summer. Almost looks like a park (property used to be an elementary school).

I’m a 35 year old male (heterosexual) currently single. I tend to be very active spending most of my time outdoors enjoying our city (mostly at Spanish Banks or Kitsilano Beach). Love snowboarding, surfing, paddle boarding, hiking, and golf. I workout a few days per week between weight training, running and yoga. I love cold dips in the ocean in the winter and cold beers in the summer. Love beach or forest walks with my pup, Kami. I’m a big movie guy so always up for a good flick. I like home cooked meals (typically Asian or Italian). Would be cool to take turns / share meals together when cooking at home. I also eat out way too much - can’t help in in this city. I never say no to Japanese food - ever. Professionally I work for an Engineering Firm as a Passive House Consultant and work from home 95% of the time.

I have 2 year old female Rhodesian Ridgeback dog, named Kami that is a sweet heart and loves chilling on the large sectional couch. She’s kennel trained and sleeps in it every night (located in the family room).
