About the room
Located in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood between Cambie and Main. Five minute walk to Broadway-City Hall Station and every shop and store you could need. Ten minutes to downtown on the train or driving. Five minutes to VGH.
Everything is furnished. I could make the bedroom unfurnished if you have some bedroom furniture but the room is on the smaller side (note, the bed is getting a bit older).
Two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms (both bathrooms are shared but the 1/2 bath is upstairs and is all yours for getting ready and to put all your stuff), shared kitchen and living space. In Suite Washer/Dryer and Dishwasher. The bedrooms are located downstairs in a partial basement and the living space is upstairs with lots of natural light.
WIFI / Hydro is not included in the rent and can get a bit expensive in the winter (electric heat boards) around 100 a month.
About the roomies
Looking for a roommate to share the apartment and be a little social with. Ideal roomie is fun, has a sense of humor, likes to share stuff and not hide in each others rooms. Someone who contributes to the place, keeps it clean and tidy. If you are known to leave a mess behind you, we won’t work out..
I’m a 33 year old gay guy, lived in this apartment for nearly ten years, have had three awesome roommates come and go from here and have a very loveable dog named Oliver. I am also long term sober from all drugs and alcohol (don’t mind some drinking or weed around me tho)
An ideal roommate would love dogs, have their party days behind them, respect boundaries and alone time and be clean. I work at YVR 30-40 hours a week, sometimes more and spend equal amounts of time at home and out and about on my days off. I love to get outside with my dog, cook food, or just be lazy and watch movies and order food!
Important My dog Oliver is a 7 year old King Charles Spaniel. He’s is a very gentle, sweet pet that loves everyone unconditionally. He is usually lazy but he can be pushy to play with toys or loud around food time. He also barks out the window a lot. He will expect love and compassion and patience from the person who moves in and if you don’t have that for dogs/animals keep scrolling. I emphasize this because you will be alone with him a lot, so, it needs to be clear what you are getting yourself into. Unfortunately, there is only the One pet allowed in the unit, no exceptions.
I am a renter here long term, however, my landlord will want to do a bit of a reference check and a meet and greet if we work out. FYI
