Nora's room

Located in the heart of The Glebe, close to bank street, the canal and all sorts of lovely small businesses, cafes and restaurants. About a 10 minute bus ride to Carleton and 30 minute to University of Ottawa. The apartment is located on the lower two levels of a duplex, my parents live in the top apartment. My apartment is fully furnished, apart from the room which you are welcome to furnish and decorate however you choose. The room can fit a single or double bed and dresser comfortably and has a built in closet and small bookshelf. The room has recently had new carpeting put in, radiant floor heating and measures 12’5 by 8’ with a closet measuring 3’ by 27.“ The room also has a door with window leading to the back garden and sitting area which I share with my parents. The apartment also includes a finished basement, which I am currently furnishing and organizing. I have my art/office area here, there is also a desk downstairs that you are welcome to use, or replace with your own. All utilities are included in the rent, other than wifi which I am in the process of switching over and am happy to discuss with you! :)

Hi there! My name is Nora I am a third year visual arts student at University of Ottawa looking for a roommate to share my space with for the next year. My pastimes include baking, hanging out outside in my backyard, thrift shopping and pretty much anything creative! I also love to make jewellery and beading and work part-time as a salesperson at a local jewellery store. I am not a big party person, but do enjoy going out with friends on the weekend and also really value my time to relax at home. I would love to find a roommate who ideally is a female student, I would enjoy being social and doing things together, but am also very respectful of boundaries and the need for alone time. Cleanliness is very important to me and I will always do my part to keep common spaces such as the living room, kitchen and bathroom nice and tidy, (my art desk in the basement may be a different story though lol!) I do have one cat who lives with me (my parent’s cat does occasionally visit as well) she is very friendly, clean and loves attention, but can be kept out of your room if you prefer.
