Rent includes:

• private bedroom

• kitchenette area for daily basic needs and food storage (kitchenette includes baker’s rack shelving, sink, microwave, WonderOven with cooking set, Nespresso pixie. A bar fridge could potentially be provided if you don’t have your own)
• small open cubby / closet
• street parking directly across from the house (driveway parking up for discussion)
• laundry on site
• garage storage (ie a bike and a few shelves)
• A/C
• keyless entry

Your space is all on the first floor (no stairs), so it’s very private living. There is also an unfurnished living room with a new gas fireplace near your bedroom you can use, however it’s not fully private as I pass through to do laundry 1-2x a week and store some items there.

Non-smoker, restrictions on fragrance use, Teflon/PTFE/PFOA product free, air-quality conscious “green” home, due to pet birds.

My senior dog is reactive and wary of strangers, but we live on the upper level and have lived safely and comfortably with responsible roommates.

Some flexibility on pricing, for example someone who really doesn’t use the upstairs kitchen and doesn’t work from home, I’d be willing to go lower on price.

I can accommodate short term stays.

A good fit is what’s most important to me, this means:

• Someone who can be trusted to communicate and follow the bird-safe guidelines impeccably; you must respect their lives and safety
• Someone responsible and professional, who keeps their personal spaces hygienic (lived in clutter is fine, letting things get gross isn’t)
• Someone who also doesn’t mind the accommodations for my senior dog who won’t really have any contact with a roommate. He’s crate trained and has to go in the crate when you need to use the kitchen to cook, so a 15 mins head’s up when you need to use it is required, or we have an established schedule. Since I work from home, and he’s crated when I go out, this has been fairly straightforward
• Someone who keeps the shared kitchen clean and is respectful of not damaging property/shared things
• Someone who wants to create a peaceful, respectful, drama-free living environment
