About the room
Turnkey living, all inclusive and board. Newly renovated and furnished, with many amenities, it is turnkey living for mature students or young adults looking for a quiet place to live, study, and work. The boarding fee includes utilities, internet, laundry, streaming services, and maybe parking. The home has a smart toilet, distilled water in a hot/cold dispenser (important because K-W has very hard water), two homeowners to provide for boarders’ needs, and the world’s friendliest cat. The fee also includes partial board; the kitchen is stocked with staples so that you never have to worry about whether you have something for your next meal, or whether you need to go shopping today. Public transit is a stone’s throw away. Walking to UW campus is 35 minutes, 20 by bus, 10 by bicycle, 5 by driving. Laurier is a little farther. There’s no need to bring much. Easy to move into and out of.
About the roomies
I’m a working professional in the community and have connections to many local services. My son is in his last year at UW. Our quiet home is on a quiet street. There are some rules, which include: no smoking anywhere in the property, no drugs or incense or vaping, everyone is expected to keep themselves and the their room neat, and to contribute something to the overall maintenance. Contracts can be as short as 4 months. Price is negotiable, and may fluctuate with the cost of utilities, supplies, and groceries. If you’re a student from outside of Canada this may well be exactly what you’re looking for.
