Hey all :) My current roomie has found her person, and they will be moving in together at the end of our lease, as such she won’t be renewing with me and so I’m looking for a new roomie to resign with come April 1 2026.

I don’t own the home, my current roommate and I teamed up to pool our resources and rent something that would have been out of budget on our own. We split the rent, utilities, and space equally and I’m hoping to find someone interested in a similar set-up.

About the space: It’s a full detached house - 3 level character home - unfinished basement with plenty of storage, main-floor, and then two bedrooms upstairs. There is two 3-piece bathrooms. One bathroom is an ensuite in the room I’m looking to fill, so you will have a private bathroom. The second bathroom is on the main floor. Brand new appliances throughout the house and recent renovations. There’s space for two separate living room areas making it an easy space to share. There’s also a mudroom.

I have most furnishing that we would need but there’s plenty of room for your things too! Can make the space work for someone who is looking for furnished or unfurnished.

Outdoor space: small garage - good for storage, lots of private parking, a garden shed, a deck that wraps around the sides and front of the house and fenced backyard, there is also a front yard that is all garden beds - great if you have a green thumb.

Location is Inner city, Tuxedo Park, close to 16th Ave and Crescent Heights. Close to bus stops if you don’t have a vehicle. There’s breweries, dining, coffee shops, grocery and speciality markets within close walking distance. It’s about a 6 min drive to China Town downtown.

We are renting from a private landlord who is lovely. She lowered our rent last year, is prompt to fix any issues, and is sweet enough to bring us Christmas gifts - won the landlord lottery ahah.

I’m a working professional in my early 30’s. I enjoy board games, yoga, snowboarding, camping, trips to the mountains, wine and dinner nights, friend hangs and getting outdoors for just about any activity. Also love a good TV binge - bad reality or true crimes are my go to.

I have a senior French Bulldog who lives here too. She loves snacks, rolling in the grass, sleeping in, and ignoring her mom. She’s a new rescue and has some dog trauma so unforch, we can’t have more dogs at this time. I don’t know how she is with cats - we haven’t tested yet but might be open to cats with a trial and permission from the landlord.
