The apartment is a 2 bed 2 full bathrooms, with 1 bed and 1 bath available. There are two balconies off the living area and 1 off your bedroom. The living area is furnished, the bedroom is not, so you will need to have your own bed/dresser/drawer/desk. Rent includes internet, hydro, and a monthly professional cleaning service. Laundry is insuite. The room is available Sept. 1, but I am not rushing to fill the space.

The apartment is in the heart of Vancouver’s West End, very close to transit, and walking distance to everything including the beach.

I have a cat, recently adopted, so unfortunately no other pets will be possible at this time. I work full time plus, as a food scientist , so have quite a lot of kitchen equipment which you would be welcome to use, as well as most of the ingredients in my ingredients inventory. You are very welcome to have friends over.

The apartment has insuite laundry, and a dishwasher, and street side parking is available, there is currently 1 building assigned parking spot available and that is $100/mo. There is bicycle storage within the building.

You: employed, friendly, reasonable adult, tidy, all the usual things we expect when sharing space with others. I have had very good fortune to only have had good roommate experiences, so hoping to keep that record going. Preference given to students and those looking for short to mid-length stays, longer is possible with discussion.

About me, I’m a full time chef/ food scientist and also have my own consulting business working with food companies. I have a recently adopted cat who is a bit shy and is still adapting to a new environment.

I am pretty easy going in shared spaces, and do prefer clear, direct communication. I have friends over a few times a month, and sometimes work related activities. During any social gatherings, you are always invited to join. I find getting a sense about another person is easier in person and in conversation.
