About the room
The apartment is a walk up off Whyte (no elevator), a super walkable area with lots of bus routes nearby. The building is no smoking, $650/month in rent (+ DD), and a basement unit. It’s south facing so lots of sunlight, though! Laundry is in building and there’s no dishwasher. There’s lots of storage—a big pantry and two hall closets. There’s no carpet and the living room is pretty big with two large windows. There’s one parking spot in the back for our unit (I don’t have a car, so it’s all yours).
Rent includes heat and water. We can split internet and power. (The last arrangement was me paying power and my roommate paying internet but we can talk about it!)
The living room will be mostly unfurnished except for the couch and red chair, and all of the wall items will be removed! I’m open to redecorating together :)
About the roomies
I’m a 24 year old current Master’s student at the U of A and I’m starting my PhD there in the fall. I work as a teaching assistant as well as doing course work development for the U, and I’m pretty quiet and keep to myself. I would prefer to live with another queer roommate (I’m a nonbinary lesbian), but it’s not a deal breaker!
Also, I do have a 3 year old cat, she loves people but not animals!!
