About the room
Looking for a comfortable, well-located place to call home? This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment in Uptown Waterloo might be the perfect fit! Just a 10-minute walk from both King Street (with its vibrant selection of bars, restaurants, and shops) and the University of Waterloo, the location offers the best of both worlds—urban convenience and natural beauty.
You’ll be sharing the space with me—I’ve been living here with my current flatmate since 2023 (we actually met through Roomies.ca!). He’s relocating to Toronto for a new job at the beginning of August, so his room will be available then.
At 1,000 sq. ft., the apartment is bright, spacious, and features a stunning view of Waterloo Park. The common areas are fully furnished and ready to move in.
The apartment is rent-controlled, making it more affordable than comparable units in the area. Water and heating are included in the rent, so you won’t have to worry about those extra costs.
If you’re looking for a great spot with a fantastic view, easy access to campus and Uptown, and a relaxed, respectful living environment, feel free to reach out!
About the roomies
Hey! I’m Karim — 26 years old, originally from Lebanon. I moved to Canada in 2023 and have been living in this apartment ever since. Before that, I studied at EPFL in Switzerland (2020–2023), and I now work full-time in tech as a Systems Engineer.
I travel quite a bit for both work and leisure — usually out of the country around 2–3 months a year — so you’ll often have the space to yourself. That said, when I’m home, I really enjoy keeping the apartment clean, especially in the shared spaces. I’m not a clean freak by any means, but I do think there’s a certain baseline of tidiness that helps everyone feel more comfortable.
I’ve lived with flatmates since 2020, and I’ve learned that mutual respect and being mindful of each other makes a big difference. I try to keep noise down in common areas before 9 a.m. and after 10 p.m., and I’d appreciate a flatmate who values the same kind of consideration.
The 2 bed / 2 bath setup was a deliberate choice — it gives each of us more privacy and makes it easier to share the space peacefully. I’m easygoing, friendly, and always happy to have a quick chat or share a meal if it feels natural, but I also respect personal space and alone time.
Looking forward to finding someone like-minded to share this great apartment with!
