Hello! I’m Jessa, single mom and half-time parent to my cutie energetic boy, almost 6 years old.

We are looking to share our large home with outdoor space in Tuscany NW (over 1850 sqft). We seek one female roommate to share.

The basement is rented separately to a lovely young man (schoolteacher); and we share the backyard. There is a sunny deck off the dining room just for us. Beautiful outdoor area, with many trees separating the homes. The homeowner takes care of mowing. Shoveling snow is a shared responsibility for us tenants.

The main floor has laundry / mud room; a 1/2 bathroom; a huge U-shaped kitchen with island; open-plan dining room; and a nice big living room with vaulted ceilings and a stone fireplace.

My son and I have the two smaller bedrooms upstairs and he and I share the main bathroom. I also have the main floor office, as I work mainly from home.

You, our roomie, will have the larger Primary Bedroom Suite. It’s a very large bedroom, en-suite bathroom with big corner tub and separate shower, a very big walk in closet, plus enough room for a desk or sitting area, so you have your own “away” space from the larger household.

I’m looking for a female roommate who likes kids and doesn’t mind a friendly cat. Masters in Education at the U of C? This might be the place. International students are also welcome. I’d be happy to see if a mature woman might also be a good fit. (I’m in my 40s.)

We require that you have, or can acquire before move-in, your vulnerable sector police clearance (as you’ll be living with a young child).

We cook fairly regularly and are happy to share meals, or not; whatever works.

Little children sometimes come with big chaos! But we do our best to keep kitchen clean and functional, and things put away in main rooms. We are not neurotically tidy but we are clean, if that makes sense.

Absolutely no smoking or vaping of any kind please. No partiers; preference is for someone who uses no alcohol either (or rarely). No hardcore conservatives thank you. We have a joyful house, naturally, and value a heart-centred approach to life.
