This 3-story townhouse is split-level, meaning there are 6 “floors” or landings. There are 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, one of which is ensuite to the master bedroom (occupied). A small front lawn and footpath from the driveway leads to the main door, and a small backyard can be accessed through the lounge. The property includes a full kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, deep-freezer, etc.), a centralized air system for heating and cooling, hot water tank, high-speed fiber internet, a shared lounge, laundry room, garage (currently used for storage) and unfinished basement with crawlspace. Utility bills are shared between tenants.

2 rooms are available for rent at the listed price. Each room can comfortably fit a twin or queen sized bed along with a desk and any supplemental furniture. The property is still occupied as of now so unfortunately I can’t get photos of all the available rooms, but the room shown in the pictures should provide an accurate estimate for the size. Note: One of the rooms is larger (3rd Floor) as it was previously a dining room and was repurposed by the landlord during renovations.

Its about a 20min walk to Sheridan’s Trafalgar campus, a 15min walk to Oakville Place, and a 30min walk to Oakville GO. Bus stops on Trafalgar Rd. are within a 2 to 5 minutes walk from the house, bus routes run along it every 15 to 20 minutes. There also happens to be a dentist and optometrist nearby which give discounts to students.

The surrounding area is clean and well-maintained, the neighbors are kind, and the area sports multiple parks and footpaths through the suburban neighborhood, good conditions for cycling, jogging, or just going for a walk.

A few things to note about the property is that the ventilation system is somewhat lacking. The thermostat is located in a spot which gets little airflow, meaning if the thermostat is set to low it will over-cool the other rooms until the air settles near it, there have also been complaints of the upper rooms being too hot while the lower floors stay chilly. Noise suppression seems to also be an issue as many of the rooms ventilation systems are connected, noise complaints will be addressed promptly.

The current tenants include myself (M21), my girlfriend Junhee Byun (F21), and three of our previous roommates, Haze Alvaro, Hazel Cheng and Vell. Junhee and I are both students at Sheridan college, I am in the Craft & Design: Furniture program, and Junhee is in the Craft & Design: Ceramics program.

We all communicate via a discord server and would appreciate if those willing to co-habitate would join it so we can maintain an easy method of communication. It’s also how I inform and keep track of necessary bill or rent payments.

Junhee and I share the master bedroom and take primary responsibility for the property, acting as a liaison for any financial-related tasks or service requests to the landlord. We are friendly students looking for likeminded individuals to help care for the property and maybe participate in group activities if willing. We also own 2 adorable balls of fluff (Guinea Pigs) named Coco and Mocha which live in the lounge currently.
