(2 rooms total) 1 Large bedroom + den in Union Bay - unfurnished Looking for 1 or 2 adults for long term sublet. $1,350 per month + $200($1,550 total) for half the utilities (power/water/wifi) ($775 each if 2 people) $675 damage deposit.

This is a self contained home, only sharing it with one person(+ elderly cat). LGBTQ2+ and Neurodivergent safe space

Features: -Bedroom is quite large (13.5 feet x 11.5 feet with an 8 foot ceiling) -Den is attached to bedroom (8.5 feet x 8.5 feet with a 7 foot ceiling) -Garden accessible by sliding doors from the bedroom, with grapes, strawberries, kiwis, tomatoes, herbs, edible flowers, etc. -Storage space in the garage -Bathtub & Washer/Dryer -Trampoline :) -5 minute walk to the ocean / post office / small market -15 minute walk to a small creek by the community hall -Lots of nearby trails -A large field beside the house good for stargazing(and getting blackberries) -Fire pit in the backyard

Things to consider: -No dishwasher (so if hand-washing isn’t you’re thing, don’t bother applying) -The 10 and 14 bus goes to Union Bay but it’s recommended to have a car -I go into Courtenay 2 or 3 times a week so I can sometimes give you a drive, but don’t rely on me for rides -My cat WILL hang out with you (she is a sweetheart, but a little grumpy and talkative) -You can smoke/vape outside if you want (I don’t personally) -If you have a pet that lives in an enclosure (tank/cage/terrarium) that’s fine, but if you have a cat it needs to be very chill, because mine is generally not a fan of other cats, but if you have a peaceful cat she should be fine with it(after a few hisses) -No dogs(It will stress my cat too much)

• Idon’t care if you have a job or if you are on disability, as long as you have the income to pay rent. -Just to be clear, the bathroom, kitchen, living room, yard, and garden are shared spaces

What I’m looking for with roommate(s) -Openmindedness and progressive ideologies -Help me keep the house reasonably tidy, and help with occasional yard work. -Honest and clear communication -Respectful of boundaries

-Things I won’t tolerate in my home: -Aggression towards others in the home, yourself, or the home itself(don’t smash stuff) -Hard drug use / alcoholism -Theft -Abusive behaviour

About me(your potential roommate): I’m 35 years old, neurodivergent, nonbinary, and have lived communally or with roommates for 10 years. I have a passion for permaculture and do film/photography work. I sometimes share meals and baked goods if you want some. I’m into all kinds of games, boardgames, card games(MTG), D&D, videogames, so if you want to do some of that with me that’s cool, but not a requirement. I also know a few cool nature spots in Union bay if you’d like a little tour. I’m a very peaceful and reasonable person. My past roommates can vouch for my character if you’d like to talk with them.
