Buchanan Street

Hi yall!

I’m speaking on behalf of my landlord and have a room for rent in Burnaby. Move in date is September 1st but may be able to move in as soon as August 15th.

A bit bout the room & house, it is quite spacious with a closet and a window facing the backyard. The living room, bathroom, kitchen, and backyard/front yard are shared amongst us. 4 people total, 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. (5 including yourself in the room upstairs) My roommate upstairs will occasionally have his 2 daughters stay for a period of time as well so you must be okay being around kids (They’re both friendly and sweet!). There is no laundry on site, so that would be something to keep in mind as you will need to go to a laundromat for that. We are located near Holdom station, a 5-10min walk away, if you will be needing transit. There are also busses within a 2 min walk and shopping within a 5 min walk. It’s 1 station or 10 min drive to Brentwood/SFU etc.

We do have quite a few pets already (a bunny, 2 guinea pigs, 2 mice, and my cat). The landlord is okay with a cat or small dog if they are house trained.

Utilities included. (Hydro, internet, gas)

Some of us do smoke (Cigarettes/Weed) but will be respectful around others.

Myself and another individual reside in the upstairs rooms (where the room for rent will also be located, making 3 people upstairs total) are really chill and respectful. He does have 2 daughters that visit, that are also very nice. Watching your language around them will be a must. I also play video games (my VR mainly) and will certainly keep it down if I’m ever too loud, so please let me know! We value communication amongst ourselves rather than getting the landlord involved if we can avoid it unless it’s necessary. The 2 people downstairs are good. 1 is reclusive and kept to himself while the other is super friendly. He may play his music/guitar/TV a bit loud but always mindful and accepting if you ever find it too loud. He’s very understanding. We all just wanna get along and have a safe space for everyone while we navigate this world ^^;
