Very quiet and peaceful setting on 2.5 acres. Most of it is forest, but there’s enough clearing for a large garden. I may fence in a garden area next spring.
Lots of wildlife (birds, butterflies, frogs, rabbits, fireflies). This place is a sanctuary for pollinators. I will be planting wildflowers and might raise monarch butterflies next year.
Access to the lake is down a few sets of stairs. The shoreline is muddy, but it’s swimmable if you don’t mind the vegetation. There’s a canoe you can use to paddle the lake.
High-speed internet and utilities are included. Washer and dryer in the bathroom, as well as a clothesline outside. Fully stocked kitchen. Heat is propane, electric, and occasional use of the wood stove.
There’s an exercise space for yoga or stretching. There’s also a dedicated work space.
Dogs considered, but I’m allergic to cats.
22 minutes from Perth, 1 hour from Kingston, 1.5 hours from Ottawa. Located in Tay Valley.
