Looking for a clean, quiet, and respectful place to call home in Toronto’s beautiful Leslieville neighbourhood? I’m renting out a spacious second-floor bedroom with bay windows in a peaceful, tree-lined residential area, available October 31st / November 1st.

The Room:

• Large private bedroom on the 2nd floor with lots of natural light.

• Rent: $950/month, utilities included (internet shared, approx. $35/month)

• First and last month’s rent required to move in.

The Home:

• Located near Gerrard & Greenwood, just steps from the 506 streetcar and Greenwood Park.

• Close to groceries (Food Basics at Gerrard Square, No Frills at Coxwell & Gerrard)

• The second floor functions like its own unit: kitchen, bathroom, dining area, and two bedrooms (you’d be in one, I’m in the other)

• Shared front entrance; no traffic from other housemates to upper floor.

• No laundry on-site, but laundromat is a 2-minute walk away.

• Older house with character - not fancy, but comfortable and safe.

• Quiet neighbours and chill energy overall

About Me:

I’m a 39-year-old artist, writer, musician, and restaurant worker. Quiet, creative, and easygoing. I’ve spent years on the West Coast, follow a mostly Buddhist way of life, and I value kindness, respect, and personal space.

I’m 420-friendly (I do smoke cannabis), but I don’t drink or use any other substances. You don’t need to smoke, but please be okay with it. I keep to myself and spend a lot of time in my room - I’m not into drama or intense social dynamics at home, and I value a peaceful vibe.

About You:

I’m looking for a like-minded person - someone creative, respectful, and reliable. Artists, writers, musicians, and generally thoughtful people will likely feel most at home here.

Ideal traits:

• Pays rent on time (non-negotiable)

• Keeps shared spaces tidy

• Respects privacy and personal space

• Not loud, not partying - this is a quiet house.

• Preferably working full-time outside the home

• Occasional guests are fine, but no couples or live-ins

• No hard drugs or heavy drinking: cannabis-friendly only

If you’re considerate, independent, and enjoy a calm home environment, this might be a great fit.

A Few Important Notes:

• You’d be entering into a roommate agreement with me, not a formal tenancy with the landlord.

• The landlord and his adult son live on the main floor. They’re kind, respectful, and keep entirely to themselves (they do not interact with the upper level)

• Because this is a roommate setup, you would not be covered under the Residential Tenancies Act.

• I handle rent payments to the landlord; you’d be paying your share to me directly
