Rue Rivard
About the room
Hi everyone! I’m graduating from university and moving back to my home country this December, so I’m looking to transfer the lease to my room in a fully furnished 2-bedroom apartment in the Plateau starting this January. The lease runs from January 1st to June 30th, 2026. Since I’m leaving mid-December, there’s also the option to move in a bit earlier at no extra cost. The apartment has two bedrooms, one shared bathroom, a living room with a TV, a large kitchen, and a small balcony overlooking a quiet side street. Please note that this is an LGBTQ+ friendly household <3
Included:
- Fully furnished
- Wifi
- Appliances: TV, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, toaster, speaker, vacuum cleaner, etc.
- Perfect for an exchange student as the apartment is fully stocked: full spice cabinet, baking supplies, cookware, cleaning supplies, blankets, sheets, etc.
Rent: 1155/month per person Extra: ~50/month per person for electricity (Hydro Quebec)
Location The apartment is a 5min walk from Mont Royal metro station (orange line). The neighbourhood is lovely, with lots of bakeries, cafes, bookstores and cute indie shops. It’s also close to popular spots like La Banquise and Ma Poule Mouillee, as well as Parc LaFontaine, where you can go ice skating in the winter :)
About the roomies
You will be sharing the apartment with Scott (he/him), a Scottish and Norwegian Master’s student studying air & space law at McGill. He’s kind, funny, a talented baker and a wonderful person to live with. A typical night for us included bantering in the kitchen while we cooked and caught up on our days before settling in for a quiet evening. I’m going to miss him lots!
About you
We’re looking for a fellow student or a young professional who doesn’t smoke and who appreciates a calm, relaxing home environment. You’ll be a great match if you see the home as a place to recharge and rest, down to share the occasional meal, movie night or board game, and at the same time respecting personal space and the need for quiet time to focus on studies and sleep.
If this sounds like a good fit for you, please send me a message with a bit about yourself—what you do, what you’re looking for in a roommate, and anything else you’d like to share. I’m happy to answer questions and set up a time to chat or meet up with Scott and me. Looking forward to hearing from you ❀
