Hi! My previous roommate is moving out of our two-bedroom unit so I am looking for a new roommate to sign a new lease with starting in January 2026! The unit is the top floor of a 3 unit house in the Quinpool District, 10-minutes from the Dalhousie Studley Campus and near various shopping, dining, and transit locations. The room available is the bigger of the two rooms, with a large closet and window. It is the first room in the hallway, across from the second bathroom and in-house laundry room! The unit has a master bathroom, with a double sink vanity, shelves and drawers, toilet, and a walk-in shower. The unit also has a large kitchen with appliances, lots of counter space and a large bar with space for three stools for seating. There is also a large living room at the front of the unit, with 3 large bay windows, a pullout couch and chairs, a work desk, a dining room table, and a small storage closet. At the bottom of the stairs next to the unit front door, there is a large walk-in mudroom with shelves and a hanging rod for coats. Additionally, at the end of the hall, there is a decently-sized private deck! The landlords pay for the heating and water, we only pay for the power and wifi! The wifi will be $45/month each, and the power will probably be around $50/60 per month (this is a guess-timation, I only recently took of the NS power account and won’t get a bill until early January) There is also one driveway parking space available for $50/month. The driveway is shared with another tenant in a different unit so you would have to coordinate with them about moving vehicles but its totally doable and I would be happy to help with that too!

My name is Brooke and I’m a 4th year student at Dalhousie. I am studying a major in Pre-Law and a minor in French! As a roommate, I keep common spaces clean and organized, the bathroom well kept and tidy, and the rest of the unit is cozy and welcoming. I am very busy with work, school, and my personal life so I split my time between the three. This means that I am usually on the go and don’t spend all my time at home. While I enjoy social time with friends and my (new, potential) roommate, I also like my quiet time and am a room dweller (for lack of a better term, I just really like my bed and have my own TV so I spend a lot of down time in there haha). I have a boyfriend, who is also a student at Dalhousie, and due to his less-than favourable living situation, we spend some downtime at my place. While I enjoy having him, he is not here all the time and when he is, the only time we spend together in common spaces is when we are cooking in the kitchen. We are both very laid back and spend most of our time in my room studying together or watching movies! A fun fact about me is that I am a singer and musician! I have a guitar and piano in the living room, which I play when I have the chance to (though not loudly or at less that favourable hours out of respect for you and the other people that live in our house). There is room for other instruments in the living room so if you also play, please feel free to bring them with you!
