Hi there! We are roommates Ali and Zoe, two working professional women, seeking a third roommate/room rental for Ali’s large three-bedroom townhome.

The craftsman style townhome, built in 2008, offers all the creature comforts you could want. The home is three floors total, including 3 bedrooms, a large kitchen, living room, family room, open concept, high-end modern furniture, cozy décor, a large solid wood dining area for hosting, air conditioning, gas fireplace, washer/dryer, storage, and ample room in the yard for gardening. The home boasts 4 bathrooms, providing each roommate their own private bathroom.

The townhome is spacious and more like the size of a house. It is a friendly, fun but peaceful and reasonably quiet household.

The home has a large, shaded deck, plus a second, smaller, full-sun deck for growing food/plants or relaxing outside.  Here you can enjoy the benefits of a residential street, yet we are just 1 block off of Lonsdale.  Whole Foods, Shoppers Drug Mart, Lions Gate Hospital, restaurants and breweries are about a 5 minute walk. Victoria Park is a 1 minute walk. The transit routes/buses are within 1 block. This location provides a fantastic balance between the convenience and access of city life, with the friendly, calm vibe of a residential neighbourhood.  A new Korean donut/coffee shop is opening soon, just a 1 minute walk away.

The property is composed of multiple dwellings: a primary house with a suite, as well as a duplex of which our place is one side. We are fortunate to know the landlord and other tenants on the property well. Some are family members, and we have a great relationship. You can be social or enjoy solo time here. It’s a very happy place to live, especially if you love animals. 😊  

There is street parking directly in front of the property. A permit from the City is only $50 total for 6 months of parking. If you have a bike, we have the space to store it securely indoors.

We split the utility bills among roommates.

*Rent is negotiable depending on your needs and duration of stay. It’s most important to us we find the right fit. We are both social and friendly but enjoy quiet time. This home is best suited to another working professional or focussed student. Some hosting is welcome 😊. Definitely not a noisy or party house. We drink socially but do not do drugs or smoke. We don’t have a ton of visitors coming and going, although visitors are welcome. The main house rules are to keep dog safely inside, keep the house secure, and maintain a relatively quiet, peaceful and of course clean home.

Ali is 35, born and raised on the north shore, and working in media advertising sales. Zoe is 25, here from France on a two-year work program, working in the construction industry. Our home is also inhabited by a scruffy, timid, sweet rescue dog named Oscar (28 lbs, poodle terrier mix).

We both love to cook, and each work full time. Zoe is out most of the time, and works 5 days a week at her company’s office. Ali works hybrid, primarily from home. We recharge by cooking, watching TV/movies, going to concerts and playing sports.

Because Ali’s dog is dog-selective, and most comfortable with women, we are seeking a female roommate who does not have a pet.  Non-smoker please. In addition to Oscar, there are a few other small rescue pets who live on the property (cats and dogs), who would love to befriend you. :)
