Bright and spacious furnished basement suite in Barrhaven, Prince of Wales and Strandherd area

I’m renting out the lower-level room in my townhouse in Barrhaven. The room is fully furnished with a queen bed and a large sofa, and still has plenty of space for a desk, TV setup, and comfortable living. It also includes a mini-fridge and microwave so you have extra convenience and a bit more independence in your routine. The private bathroom is just outside the room, and you won’t be sharing it with anyone.

The only shared area you’d use is the laundry room, which sits between the bedroom and the bathroom. I’m respectful about laundry times, and the only other person living in the home is my upstairs roommate who is here only about three nights a week, so shared traffic is minimal.

There is also a storage room connected to the bathroom. I currently keep a few items there, but there’s still room for your things. If you’d prefer exclusive use of the entire storage room, it can be added for $100 per month.

Parking is available in the driveway.

I’m friendly, accommodating, and pretty easy to live with. I work from home in my upstairs office, so weekdays are usually calm and predictable. I value a good vibe in the house, meaning respect, communication, and a space that feels comfortable for everyone. I’m generally quiet day to day. I do have friends over on occasion, but nothing disruptive or late. I also have one cat, Dolores. She’s my shadow but friendly with people and very food-motivated, but she doesn’t get along with other cats. She can coexist with a calm dog who respects her space. The other person living here is my upstairs tenant. She’s in Ottawa about three days a week, plus the odd weekend during the year, so the house is fairly low-traffic most of the time.
