One bedroom for rent in a two bedroom, one bathroom apartment located in Fernwood. Close to amenities and major bus routes with a bus stop right outside the door. There is parking available for a fee of $100/month but there is usually street parking if you prefer to save on costs. Shared laundry is located on the first floor of the building it’s $6/load of laundry depending on the settings you chose. The apartment is mostly furnished but I’m open to living room furniture if you have it as my current roommate will be taking that with them - a couch, tv, and tv stand is needed. I have two indoor cats who are both litter trained and neutered. I’m looking for someone who likes cats and will be okay with sharing communal spaces with two furry friends. There is a large closet that can be used for storage of a few smaller items. Rent will be split 50/50 as well as hydro, internet and the tenant insurance that’s required by Devon Properties. It works out to approx $25/month for hydro (on average it’s a 3 month billing cycle, the warmer months are cheaper),$40/month for internet, and $13.50/month for tenant insurance. I’m looking for a mature student or working professional who’s quiet and prides themselves on keeping a clean home! You’re more then welcome to have visitors and overnight guests however this room is for single occupancy only. Must be LBGTQ+ friendly, this is non-negotiable. This room is preferably for the girls, gays and they’s. Absolutely no drugs of any kind of welcome in this home, no judgement but it’s a firm boundary. I do require a verification of employment as well as a full criminal record check. I am requesting that you provide me a recent tenant reference as well as a character reference. I’m Lyc, I work at the hospital full time in the Emergency Department. My schedule is a 4 on 4 off shift work rotation - a mix of 12 hr day and night shifts. In my spare time I love to do all things outdoors, especially in the summer months you’ll often find me at the beach or out on a hike. In the winter months I enjoy reading, crocheting, binge watching tv series and going out for a bite to eat. I love travel, music, art, and all things crafty and creative. I have recently tried to get into more islander activites such as surfing and running (everybody seems to be running these days). I’m not a big partier, I don’t smoke cigarettes or vape. I am however cannabis friendly as long as it’s safely stored and consumed off property (it’s a building rule - no vaping or smoking of any kind). I have two indoor only cats named Jasper and Willow. They are mostly well behaved (are cats ever really that well behaved 🤪) and do not spray or go to the bathroom outside of their litter boxes. I’m looking for someone who loves/likes cats and has some experience co-existing with pets in the home previously. They are my babies and I want to find someone who I know they are safe with when I am not home. I am not looking for a caretaker, just simply someone who is a fellow animal lover. I’m really hoping to find someone who is looking for a friend as well as a roomie but 100% will respect boundaries and your personal space if you prefer to keep to yourself.
