This Marda Loop townhouse is not only in a prime, beautiful and accessible location with all the services and great parks in the area, tastefully furnished, fully equipped kitchen, comfortable, spacious, plenty of storage in the room and the house, has everything you need and more, it also comes with the best housemates I have ever had. Renting a room in this house has been more than having a comfortable, safe home to come to; it has been a blessing. The people you will share it with are not only respectful and clean, but they are also kind, intelligent, and altogether fantastic humans. There is, without a doubt, a higher quality of life that you get to experience by living here.

I am ceding my lease, which ends in November, but 12 months is preferable.

The house is shared by a total of four people (including the tenant). You will share the property with the owner, Meaghan, and two other wonderful housemates who are young professional women: they work in accounting, engineering, and French language teaching, respectively. There’s a great dynamic with them where they are happy to chat and share, but also have their individual lives and spaces. The house is big and spacious enough (and well distributed) that it very comfortably accommodates each person’s routines, private space and individuality. The kitchen gets used by all at various times, but there is also plenty of space for two or even four people cooking at a time. Interests among the women living here include skiing, hiking, board games, line dancing, Pub quiz nights, reading, cinema, travel, cooking, and, generally, the outdoors. Occasionally, friends come over for dinner or a visit, and all is done very respectfully and not as an imposition. There is excellent communication and consideration among everyone sharing the house.

I truly recommend this place to anyone looking to make the best out of living in Calgary. Whether you’re new to the city or have always lived here, this place and its inhabitants really make life sweet and altogether nicer.
