About the room
Hello!! My roommate & I Are looking to sublet the third room in our rental suite - a BeautyFull & Bright upstairs of a house near Cedar Hill Cross / Shelbourne Plaza - nearby to Jubilee Hospital & the University ! Area is quiet & safe. There is minimal through traffic on our street as there Are dead ends one way - You do hear sirens in the distance regularly but that’s most areas this connected to the central/downtown
The listing is for One of the three bedrooms, it is the medium sized One with a North facing large window. We do have our neighbours deck just outside this window, and there Are working blinds on your window. It has a closet & hardwood floors. The bathroom is next to it, and this is the One bathroom we All share.
There is no dishwasher & so we Are conscious of shared kitchen/sink space. There is a small balcony off of the kitchen. We have an air fryer, toaster, oven, kettle, microwave etc for communal use & other small appliances Are welcome.
The kitchen is mostly stocked already so we don’t have much room for in-use dishes, but have a tad of storage for extras - and Living room is already furnished as well but if You have any instruments they Are welcome. Your room will Be unfurnished (or furnished with a single bed and frame if You let us know either way) & there will Be space in the hallway for your art if You choose!
We Are looking for a 6month min sublease ideally but Are open to discussion re the timeline & working professional or students please reach out if genuinely interested & honest, responsible, mature & match the description 🤲🏻 Base rent for your subleased room is $975 + 1/3 of upstairs utilities ( usually around $1111 in winter)
Starting Feb 1st or Feb 7th at the latest
Storage space is downstairs in the shared access room with the basement suite, where our laundry machines also Live. They Are coin/loonie laundry ($1 per wash or dry) & they work well consistently. There is not a ton of storage space, more minimalist humans welcomed.
There is a large shared yard with the other suites which You have full access too, including a garden bed in the back & open (currently uncovered) storage space in the back which will have another shed in the future for our use.
Parking is on the street & there has allways been space right out front. We Are 2 blocks from a main bus stop, pharmacy, grocery store, gas station, fast food, convenience store, pet store, thrift store, restaurants and more.
A few blocks from a library too! Few mins drive from Hillside Mall.
About the roomies
I have a cat & prefer to have just the One animal in the space at this time, he is Loving & kind & therefore want cat Lovers only in this space :)
We Love to converse & share the space, as well as take alone time - so whatever You need / we each need, is Welcome & enCouraged. As well with using the main space, having guests etc., communication & respect is important :)
The space is tended to very mindfully, and we Are looking for someone with aligned intentionality in their space. We Are clean & organized & would need someOne who is Self responsible in this way & also values/needs organization & cleanliness in the way we do 🤲🏻 ✨
(non smoking individual preferred)
We Are musicians/artists/dancers/singers & take up space vocally, instrumentally & with movement practice in the Home. We enCourage whoever Lives with us to do the same if they so choose but require the enCouragement / safe & Welcome space & energy towards us in our practices too :)
We Live connected to Nature & have our own Spiritual practices, & enJoy cooking in the kitchen space.
We share household tasks & chores evenly & communicate as needed. This includes taking out & putting out garbage, recycling, compost & cleaning inside. Yard maintenance ( mowing/snow) is the landlord’s job 🙏🏻 Our landlord is great btw ! Very good at fixing, replacing, communicating as needed!
