About the room
The apartment is a spacious 4-bedroom unit located in Centretown, in a charming heritage home that has been divided into units. Our unit covers the entire top floor and has good natural light. The area is very walkable and close to downtown amenities, with Lyon LRT station just a couple of blocks away.
The room available is the smallest bedroom in the apartment but is spacious and cozy, with a walk-in closet, an additional closet, and a window that gets warm evening light. The room is unfurnished.
Rent is $734 per month and is all inclusive, covering heat, hydro, and internet. This is a month-to-month roommate agreement, ideally long term. We are looking for someone planning to stay at least one year. You will not be added to the lease.
The apartment includes hydro and internet, a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, fridge, stove, kettle, microwave, toaster, and dishes, as well as a furnished bathroom and a semi-furnished living room. There are five large communal closets available for shared storage. Laundry is available in the basement for $3 to wash and $3 to dry.
House rules include no shoes inside, natural and non-toxic cleaning products only, no large parties, and overnight guests limited to a maximum of three nights per week due to the shared kitchen and bathroom.
Pets are allowed in the building. However, due to space, lifestyle, and cleanliness considerations, we are looking for a roommate without pets. On-site parking is not available.
First month’s rent is due at move-in. Last month’s rent is required once selected to secure the room and is applied to the final month.
About the roomies
You would be living with two males and one female, ages 25-35. One roommate is a painter, one is a music, visual art, and tech enthusiast, and one is a programmer. We all work regular jobs.
We’re looking for a roommate who is respectful, proactive about cleaning shared and personal spaces, and values a calm, well-maintained shared home. Open communication is important to us, and the household is LGBTQ2+ friendly. We’re ideally looking for someone planning to stay long term, at least one year.
