🏡 Rent – Private Room in Beautiful St. Clair W Home, Shared with 1 Professional Female, Transit to subway at door & backyard.

Looking for one female roommate to share my large, bright, renovated, and tastefully decorated home with one other female professional (just sharing with me). Private (unfurnished) bedroom with natural light on 2nd floor.

House set up for comfortable, calm shared living:

*Brand new stainless steel kitchen with gas stove and dishwasher; Fully equipped kitchen (plates, cookware, microwave, small appliances ready to use)

*Two bathrooms (see note below re: shower height)

*En-suite laundry (free & on same floor as bedroom)

*Shared spaces are fully furnished and comfortable, including a living room equipped with a projector for movie nights

*Two enclosed three-season porches/dens, furnished and used as additional living and dining spaces

*Large backyard with patio furniture + BBQ (great in summer), as well as an area for gardening, as desired.

*Air conditioning

*Optional storage (garage/cold room) for bikes/camping gear

TRANSIT & NEIGHBOURHOOD: Buses to Lansdowne, Ossington, and Yorkdale subway stations right outside the front door, with a short walk to the 24-hour St. Clair streetcar. The area is walkable to cafes, groceries, and neighbourhood spots, with easy access to Corso Italia, the Junction, Stockyards, and Earlscourt Park (home to one of Toronto’s largest recreation centres/pools), and a brand-new TPL library. Less than 15 minutes to Bloordale, Dundas West, Queen West, High Park, and Trinity Bellwoods.

UTILITIES: Vary seasonally, but approximately $150/month (hydro, gas, water/waste, internet) Deposit: first month’s rent plus a one-month deposit (applied to the final month with proper notice)

PARKING / STORAGE (OPTIONAL): Plenty of on-street parking. Garage parking and/or storage may be available for an additional fee

TERM: Minimum 6-month cohabitation agreement, followed by month to month.

A Note on the Bathroom: The main bathroom has a lower ceiling over the shower. It’s best suited for someone under ~5’6”, or comfortable using a dedicated onsen-style shower seat (provided). I prefer to be upfront so it feels comfortable for the right person.

ABOUT ME / HOUSEHOLD RHYTHM:

I work in the arts and usually work from home during the day (dedicated workspace). Most weekdays are quiet/low-key; I’m often out in the evenings. I occasionally host on weekends (especially summer BBQs), but this is not a party house. I’m looking for someone with a similar rhythm — respectful, tidy, communicative, and comfortable in a calm home.
