Room for Rent – Downtown Toronto (Steps from Eaton Centre)

Private room available in a newer, modern apartment building located just a 2-minute walk from the Eaton Centre. Prime central downtown location with multiple subway stations nearby, surrounded by amazing restaurants, bars, and cafés, and within walking distance to major universities and colleges. Despite being very central, I’ve never felt unsafe in the area.

Rent

• $1,325/month, due on the 1st of every month (set by owner) • Utilities + internet are extra (approximately $100/month each) • Utilities vary month to month — they are currently under my name, and I will share the monthly bill for full transparency

Move-In Date

• March 1, 2026

Lease Term

• 1-year lease required at the request of the owner • Lease can be extended after the year if desired

• Last month’s rent required upfront

The Apartment

• Low floor • Newer building and unit • Fully furnished common areas (bedroom is unfurnished) • Private bathroom with shower attached to your room • In-unit washer and dryer • Dishwasher included • In-building gym (no pool) • Clean, modern, and well maintained

Common Areas

• Fully equipped kitchen • Happy to share kitchen utensils, cookware, appliances, TV, coffee machine, etc.

Building Amenities, Security & Management

• Reception/concierge • Secure building with excellent security • Key fob access required for building entry and elevators • Dedicated building manager (not on-site) who is very accessible and responsive to maintenance or repair issues

Roommate Preferences

• Clean and respectful of shared spaces • Pet-friendly — no pets currently, but I’ve been considering getting a cat or dog, so this could be a great fit if that’s something you’re open to as well • Quiet on weekdays (I wake up early for work) • Responsible and reliable

A Little About Me

I’m 30 years old and work in the office full-time. I wake up around 5:00am and usually get home by 5:00pm. I love traveling, trying new restaurants, going out for dinners, joining social clubs, and relaxing with reality TV or new shows. I enjoy hosting occasionally on weekends (game nights or movie nights), but not every weekend — I also love cozy, lazy movie days, making brunch, and spending quiet time at home. I enjoy spending time with my friends and my roommate, and I go home to visit family every few weekends. I’m easygoing, happy to share in the common areas, and I’ll be honest — I’m a bit of a neat freak, so cleanliness in shared spaces is important to me.
