Your Room- Two small rooms divided by a wall and doorway, one side has a window, one doesn’t. Good for someone who enjoys making the most out of a quirky space.

Living Room- Will likely be totally empty after my current roommate moves out, as all my stuff is in my room/the kitchen.

Kitchen- Modern gas stove with 5 burners, big modern fridge, large island with cupboards and plugs for blenders etc. decent amount of room for storage, but still has room to add more shelves etc. No microwave yet.

Bathroom- Quite small and quirky, with a standing shower, toilet, and sink.

Storage- There is a small room with lots of space for storage. I currently have my bike inside, but it will be mostly empty after my friend moves out.

Back yard- There is a 6 seat picnic table, spots for garden pots, BBQ

Laundry- No laundry access, but a good laundromat 2 blocks away, run by a nice couple.

Lighting- The windows are on the small/medium size, so not ideal if big windows are super important to you.

Noise- House itself is usually fine for noise from my experience, but the room is is right next to 1st Ave so traffic noise will be present just fyi.

Wifi- We can figure this out together, as my current roommate is taking his wifi plan with him when he moves out.

Rent- $1050 per month, utils included. Lease is month to month. Damage deposit is $525.

Pets- Cats allowed, but no dogs sorry.

Pests- Occasionally see mice, but landlord has regular pest control come by, and seems fine as long as we keep the place clean.

Temperature- Nice and cool in the summer, heat is decent in the winter but worth having a small space heater as the thermostat is controlled by the people upstairs.

Neighborhood- Located right near Commercial Drive in the centre of East Van. There is a 24-hour grocery across the street, and a several other markets including one that has super cheap produce. Liquor store close by, all kinds of other services within walking distance. Closest Skytrain station is Commercial Broadway.

I’m looking for a roommate to share my 2 bedroom basement suite located at 1st and Cotton Drive available April 1st. I am super chill and easy to live with, and looking for someone with similar values. A bit about me, I am a 38 year old musician and work as a bartender. I spend a lot of my time out and about, and when I am home I mostly keep to my room, unless I am cooking, but happy to coordinate usage of the kitchen etc. I am very adaptable and used to changing dynamics according to the kind of person I am living with.
