There are two rooms for rent, a larger one downstairs (legal egress) and a smaller one upstairs. The downstairs one could easily be turned into a suite with a mini kitchen. It is currently housing a large library, tv area, and treadmill. The tv and treadmill could be removed, or left for the renter. It also has a large amount of storage; there is a very wide closet, that has under-the-stairs storage attached. There are also some storage options in the laundry room as well.

The upstairs bedroom is smaller, and rent is accordingly lower ($450). It has a fairly large closet, with further storage options in the laundry room.

There are options as far as furnishing goes, which can be discussed. The two renters will share a bathroom; there are two bathrooms in the house. There is a back door with a closet, also shared by the renters. There is street parking, and a garage that could be rented for an extra $50/month.

The kitchen is meat-free, and priority will be given to renters who are willing to maintain a mostly vegan lifestyle in the home. The kitchen is fully furnished; you do not need to bring any dishes or cookware if you don’t want.

We live on a great street, the neighbours are all really friendly. Our entire yard is a garden, so there’s fresh veggies all summer long. There’s also a fire pit in the back yard. We also have a community plot a short ways down a walking/biking path. This path goes past a creek with a beaver family living in it, open wild space, an outdoor plane museum, and past huge open spaces that often have deer, foxes and other wildlife at all times of the year.

Any help with gardening in the summer and/or snow clearing in the winter, as well as some extra house cleaning would be appreciated via a rent reduction.

The house is near polo park, so public transit is easy to access at the mall, or on portage ave (a 5 minute walk). There are two grocery stores within walking distance, plus a superstore and several other stores a 5 minute drive away.

I am a small business owner, and bakery manager. Working at a bakery generates a lot of free bread and baked goods, which I am very happy to share! My partner is also a small business owner, and works away from home part of the time. We are generally a quiet household; not many people over, and we would always be able to give you a heads up before having company. We are also out a lot of evenings at yoga, so the house is very quiet most of the time. We are very eco-minded; we use natural cleaning products, try to conserve water, and value all efforts to reduce our impact on the earth. We would value roommates who are tidy and laid back.
