• Move in date June 1st * 2 bedroom basement apartment with shared bathroom / kitchen / living room . Current roommate is subletting. Separate entrance , one parking spot . In-unit laundry , no dishwasher . The neighbourhood is pretty quiet and within walking distance of Main St , Newmarket .

Hi !! My name is Alex ( they / them ) . My current roommate will be moving out at the end of May . This apartment has become my home and I am looking for another person who will keep making the space feel like a home 💗

I work in the disability field and I myself am autistic. I am fully independent but looking for someone who will be understanding of this . I am very into roller derby , penpaling , and I have a cat who is my whole heart. Her name is Esmeralda and she does not get along with other cats or dogs, but has lived with rats, gerbils, and bearded dragons ( she’d be fine with anything in a cage ). Esmeralda spends 99% of the time in my room .

My work schedule is kind of crazy so I am sometimes up very early or get home really late . I have friends over once a week (ish ) , and my partner spends the night every other week ( ish ) . I am rarely away overnight because my cat has dementia and I don’t like leaving her alone, but I go on 3-4 day trips every few months . I’m not a drinker or a smoker ( I say with a glass of wine in my picture , it was my birthday lol ) and the tenant upstairs is a smoker.

I am allergic to onions. I am aware they are a staple for many dishes , but I cannot be in the house when they are being cooked . If I get a heads up I can leave for a few hours.

I clean a lot when I’m stressed out ( which is always ) but I’m okay with mess as long as it’s not taking over the apartment . Bills are included except for internet which usually comes up to $50 or so . There is another tenant upstairs who we have little interaction with but he is a very kind middle aged man.
