About the roomies
I am a goal focused, quiet middle age man, born in the Caribbean. I am a business professional and I’m busy most of the time. I do not smoke, I rarely drink, and if I do it’s light drinking. I don’t have a lot of visitors and I don’t throw parties. When the weather is good, I’m out and about, and not home as much as in the winter.
I am not a loud talker. I iisten to music during the weekends, however, never late at night and not loud.
I go to bed around 11:30 pm to 1 am most week nights and I wake around 6:30-8 am.
I take showers, not baths and I keep washroom use to essentials so I do what needs to be done in the washroom then I get out. So, I don’t spend long hours in the wash room.
I like to read so I have a small library.
I consider myself to be a spiritual none religious person and I have traditional beliefs whereas nature is our friend and essential to our survival. So… I have a deep respect for nature. I have a deep respect for elders and traditional peoples too. I believe in always honoring parents and those who came before. I believe respect is important.
There is an aquarium in the living room, however, the fish never come out.
I do some traveling occasionally.
I’m fairly laid back overall and I don’t sweat the small things, however, I believe in direct communication when needed.
This is a great way to save some money for anyone who does not plan to rent the rest of their life. And instead pay yourself first - 10% of what you earn is yours to keep. And ones housing cost should not be more than 30% of our take home pay.
I am an experienced knowledgeable mature person who is considerate when living with others and I’m looking for someone like-minded who wants to share living expenses to save for that mansion or yacht later on. Those extra dollars saved may be used to build wealth in a HBP, RRSP, or TFSA instead of giving that to a landlord. AI is a-coming for our jobs so we better have a plan and a nest egg. There is no point to living in a rental unit indefinitely alone as if it is a mansion without a plan to get into one’s own property.
