Avenue Road
About the room
Welcome to Midtown! I’ve lived in this unit for 5 years with my best friend and am now looking for a new roommate. This place is full of love, character and colour! The space is trans, queer, and BIPOC-safe.
YOUR ROOM:
- There is an AC unit I will happily help install in your room during the warmer months. In the colder months, we keep it in storage. Your room can easily fit a queen-size bed, side table, desk, dresser, and a bit more!
THE UNIT:
- You will have access to the storage in the apartment (coat closet and storage closet at the end of the hall).
- The living room is HUGE! There’s also a study/dining room.
- The bathroom is shared
- There is a laundry room down the stairs that is shared with other apartments in the building.
TRANSIT: There’s a bus stop across the street that takes you to the Eglinton subway station via the 61 (or you can walk to the Avenue/Eglinton LRT).
COMMUNITY SPACES: We’re right by Eglinton Park and the North Toronto Memorial Community Center (access to fields, rinks, pools, trees and a dog park). The nearest library is about a 10-12 minute walk. We’re also a 10-minute walk to the Kay Gardiner Beltline! An amazing greenbelt for walks/runs/biking.
SHOPS: Many more, but here are some basics
- Summerhill Market (10 minute walk)
- Dave Young Fruit Market (10 minute walk)
- Isle of Coffee (10 minute walk)
- Cafe de Flore (10 minute walk)
- Fresh Harvest produce store (15 minute walk)
- Shoppers (15 minute walk)
- Yonge Seafood Gourmet store (10 minute walk)
- Metro (Yonge/Eglinton - 15 minute walk or TTC)
- Galleria (Yonge/Eglinton - 15 minute walk or TTC)
- BMV (Yonge/Eglinton - 15 minute walk or TTC)
- Dollarama (Yonge/Eglinton - 15 minute walk or TTC)

About the roomies
Hi! I’m Kaela (she/her)! A little about me: I’ve lived in Toronto for 10 years, originally from Nova Scotia. I’m finishing my degree at U of T for Indigenous Studies, with a double Minor in Sociology and History. I love music, reality TV, and a good memoir (the apartment is full of books). Bring your books, plants, and instruments!
