About the room
One bedroom in a 3 bed 1 bath on the upper unit of a duplex (unfortunately not wheelchair accessible). Alta Vista ward, near the corner of Alta Vista Dr and Kilborn Ave. Located on OC Transpo routes 44 and 48, and walking distance to Billings Bridge, providing a one seat ride to Carleton University and other destinations.
Rent $600/mo plus utilities under $100/mo, handled alongside shared amenities through Splitwise. Women somewhat preferred due to shared space, but as long as you’re hygienic and tidy, we really don’t care.
Utilities we pay for are internet, hydro, gas (for the water heaters only), and our laundry is coin-op (with lots of hang-dry options).
NOTE: Picture of your room-to-be is from before it was occupied, because the current occupant is uncooperative. We will be glad to replace him with you!
About the roomies
Current occupants are all early 20s queer women, doing the following:
- 4th year Carleton CS Undergraduate*
- Algonquin College Game Art/Animation student*
- Full time employment at a hotel chain *we share a bedroom
The three of us will often share meals, and you are welcome to join us! We are looking at getting a countertop dishwasher to lighten the cleanup load.
If you like trains, transit, Signalis, or Pokémon, you’ll fit right in :3 Our neighbours downstairs in unit 1 are nice too!
