Quiet, Secure Roommate Opportunity – Okanagan Falls We’re a married couple in our 50s living on a beautiful, secure gated property in Okanagan Falls, and we’re looking for a mature female between the ages of 40 and 60 to share our home with us. I’m a local contractor and my wife is home during the day; we’re both very easy-going, grounded people who are easy to be around. We aren’t into identity politics or drama—we’re just looking for a respectful, like-minded person who will appreciate a quiet, rural-style environment. The setup offers a great balance of community and privacy. You’d have your own dedicated wing on the lower level, which includes a private bedroom and a semi-private living area perfect for winding down. We’ve even set it up with your own fridge, freezer, and microwave so you can enjoy your own snacks and refreshments whenever you like without having to head up to the main kitchen. You’ll also have your own dedicated bathroom on the main floor and shared access to the laundry. One of the best parts of living here is the property itself. You’re welcome to enjoy the entire space, whether that’s relaxing in the hot tub, sitting by the outdoor firepit, or getting your hands dirty in the garden. We have several fruit trees—including cherry, peach, plum, and nectarine—plus an almond tree, which you are welcome to enjoy when they’re in season. Since we’re on a gated property, it’s very peaceful and secure, and you’ll have your own parking spot right inside the gates. The location is perfect for enjoying the South Okanagan. We are just a 90-second drive from Skaha and Vaseux Lakes, as well as the local grocery store and gas stations. While it’s a quick 18-minute drive into either Penticton or Oliver, there is no public transportation out here, so having your own vehicle is a necessity. We share our home with a few furry family members: an indoor cat, a Border Collie, and a very large male Livestock Guardian Dog. Because our guardian is a dominant breed, we can’t host any other dogs, and you definitely need to be a “large dog person” who feels comfortable around protective breeds. As for the daily vibe, we’re a pretty quiet household. While we are perfectly fine with someone who works remotely, we just want to make sure everyone is comfortable with having another person around during the day. We aren’t drinkers ourselves, though we don’t mind a light social drinker. To keep the air fresh inside, we ask that any tobacco or 420 use stay strictly outdoors, though vaping is fine inside. We’re asking $1,500 a month, which covers all your utilities and high-speed internet. However, since we’re really looking for the right personality and a long-term fit to maintain the harmony of our home, that price is negotiable for the right person. To ensure peace of mind for everyone, we require proof of employment, solid character references, and a current criminal background check.
