Looking for something longer-term, with roomie(s) who are respectful and easy-going. Been living in a 1-bdrm on my own for the past 6 years, but found the pandemic really lonely, so would like to be around people a bit more. Landlord sold my place so I have to be out before the end of February, but I’d be willing to put my stuff in storage and stay in a short term place for the right long-term place/people. Preferably a room that is unfurnished, as I have my own stuff. I know I’ll have to sell a lot to downsize and am fine with that, but if you’re looking for someone with a couch or other living room furniture (or a portable washing machine I splurged on during the pandemic), it’s your lucky day! I don’t drive or have a car so no need for parking. At present, I am at home during the day managing a chronic health condition, but I’m covered by a long-term disability insurance plan, which means I have super-consistent monthly income. I’ve lived in shared spaces before so I know how to live with other people and respect their needs and privacy. I’ll likely spend most days in my room resting/on my laptop, and don’t really cook much, so if you work or study from home during the day, don’t worry, I won’t get in your way when you’re trying to focus. If you are at work during the day, you won’t have to worry about competing with me for the bathroom in the morning. And if you regularly go out of town, I can double as a plant-sitter or Amazon package-receiver (just give me a heads up first). I am happy to be sociable with housemates (and their guests), but also like having time to myself. I love a good game night or Netflix binge, and enjoy anything artistic or creative. I don’t have a lot of physical energy for outdoor activities, but after living downtown for years, would really appreciate green space so I’d be happy to pitch in if you have a garden. I’m fine sharing space with students, retirees, couples, kids, and pets, and am fine with 420-enthusiasts as long as the smoke isn’t indoors or right outside my bedroom window. I don’t smoke or vape myself, and try to avoid fragrances and perfumes (for those with chemical sensitivities). I am vegetarian, but am fine if you aren’t; happy to talk if you have food and/or other allergies that need accommodating. In case it matters to you or your strata/landlord: I have valid Tenant Insurance and have been claims-free for 6 years (since I first bought the policy).
