Seeking: A bedroom in a shared house, big enough for a desk & a queen bed

About me: Hey, I’m Kale! I’m a 23 year old nonbinary transfeminine person. I’m moving here from Toronto and looking for a room in a queer-friendly house. I urgently need to find a room ASAP, because all my stuff is in a storage unit :C

I just finished a tech-related undergrad and will be looking for a “real” job. In the meantime I’ll resume doing gig work as a professional house cleaner. While I get on my feet in a new city, I’m very lucky to have my mom as my guarantor.

Why I’d be a good roommate:

• I prioritize communication and integrity. If there’s an issue, I want it discussed honestly so we can figure it out together.
• I’m down to share household and pantry things :)
• My French still isn’t very good, but I’m committed to learning!
• Friends say I’m handy! I like fixing/mending things and decorating.
• I like things tidy and organized, to a reasonable extent. When I clean, it’s usually a bunch at a time.
• I’ll be bringing useful stuff to share - kitchen gadgets, an espresso machine, a nice TV setup, a sewing machine, etc.

Some facts about me:

• I’m vegan for the animals. If you’d like, I’ll cook extra and share my vegan meals with you!
• I love all pets, especially cats.
• I play electric guitar and bass (usually with headphones on) and like seeing local bands (punk, skramz, hardcore).
• I’m into sci-fi&fantasy books, video games and biking around.

Preferences & Requirements: I’m looking for a trans-friendly house. I’d prefer an unfurnished room - I have my own furniture - but it’s not a big deal, we’ll figure it out! I really need a functional kitchen. Children and pets are fine with me! I’d love having access to a backyard or balcony, maybe start a little garden. Vegan roommates are a huge plus.

I am involved with anti-colonial, anti-racist, and mutual aid work. My politics inform my actions, and it’s important to me that people I live with see eye-to-eye on social issues and liberation - feel free to ask me more in person or in DMs!
