Hello!
My name is Shashank Satish, and I am an incoming PhD student at the Queens Screen Cultures and Curatorial Studies Program starting in September. I am an architect and an artist by training. I have been teaching undergraduate students of art and architecture in India for over 6 years, and now moving to Kingston for my doctoral studies.
I am queer, committed, vegetarian, an easygoing ambivert, and a clean freak who loves to cook Indian food and try out new salad recipes every week. I love everything related to the arts and culture, travel, go on hikes, hang out, and occasionally go out for drinks when I feel my work-life balance is off. As a PhD candidate, I spend long hours dedicated to my research and practice and take up a part-time job to support my interests.
I am looking for housemate/s around campus to share an accommodation beginning the second half of August 2025. I am open to sharing rent with folks of any gender, race, or sexual orientation. Disclaimer: My classical Indian music taste, art sensibilities, and love for vegetarian food might rub off on you.
