I am looking to rent a room with my dog and cat and girlfriend asap. the person we currently sublet from is a nightmare and not only are we afraid for our safety, but also that of our animals. we told the actual landlord about it and she said is aware of the issues and is trying to get her out but has to go threw a process that may take some time. because we did this the woman we are subletting from got upset and gave us an eviction notice with a bunch of bogus claims on it. I am seeking legal advice currently but due to the fact we didn’t sign a lease there may not be much we can do. she is trying to evict us for the 20th so we are desperately searching incase she is successful. I am currently waiting to start my truck driving course and am on Ontario works. My partner is on odsp and looking to work from home. we have a dog who is house trained and very quiet and also a cat. we keep to ourselves and are clean and tidy people. My land lord said if needed she would be more than willing to give me a reference because she said we are amazing tenants and wishes she could help more, futher more she said once she gets the woman we sublet from out we would be welcome to come back and take over as landlords of the property. however for now we are just preparing in case she manages to evict us. if you have a room available or even an apt we would be very interested please contact me
