Hello!

My name is Clara and I’m a young professional originally from Manhattan, New York, USA. I’ve spent the last 10 years living in Europe (Paris, France/Cologne, Germany), and speak English, French, and ok German. I currently work at a bank but do side projects for small businesses and entrepreneurs as well!

I love music, festivals, cooking, reading, traveling, and writing. I’m learning to play guitar and picking up piano again, but I can use headphones for those if you don’t like the noise. I’ve a few musician friends I adore, and would be happy to bring along you all if you’d like to come to shows with me? Although I love to party, I also volunteer at a library and am quite a quiet person when it’s appropriate. Balance is key haha!

I am a very social person and love having friends around, but appreciate calm at home especially during the week. I’d be happy to share my cooking skills with any future roommates if we can trade for your baking 😜

I like keeping common areas as clean as possible, but I am not hyper concerned about a cup left behind or an unwashed dish. I hope to find a group with a similarly laid back but responsible approach to living together.

A shared space should be a pleasure to come home to right? I’m very open-minded and try to be as accepting as possible.

🚨My only hard line is no bigots. I don’t want to push my views on anyone, and really hope to keep home as calm as possible. I studied International Relations and Economics, work with people from the global south, my mother is a working translator for the US Immigration Courts, and my friends work at places like the UN and ICC. So, while differences of opinion are MORE than welcome. Hate is not. We won’t have a nice time together. 🚨
