I’m a current student at the University of Alberta, studying in English and Creative Writing, starting my fourth year in the fall. I’m a very active gamer, movie watcher, tv binger, etc. I love anything related to art that I can engage with and my goal is to eventually start working on making video games, specially writing stories and characters. I also am a huge player of Dungeons & Dragons, playing it weekly with different groups. So, if we do live together and you hear me make weird noises or funny voices, it’s probably because of D&D!
I’ve been living in Edmonton for several years now, previously coming there to study at NAIT, and now studying at UofA. Since then, I’ve moved from various different locations in the city, most recently near Northgate Centre, where I have lived since September 2024.I’m leaving my current location due to the space being needed for someone who is in more desperate situation and the space will become a bit too crowded for me when they get here. I’m excited to find space for my continued studies at UofA, and hang with my partner of almost 3 years, Chantal. I’m also planning for a very important surgery next summer that will require a long recovery time, so I’ll be looking for any space with with this in mind.
I’m very organized and try to keep a tidy space for the most part. I do my best to clean up after myself and maintain a neat space for myself and any roommates. I love to cook meals, specializing in pasta and pizza, and love to cook for people when asked to. I make sure to pay my due for rent on time, and not put my landlords in any awkward positions. While studying at UofA, I’ll be there full-time I’m getting student aid pay for everything, in addition to looking for work in whatever area I move to. This way, I’ll be able to support living at any residence without being worried about being too stressed out. I’ll also help out in all chores, roommate duties, etc. to ensure that we both are able to properly co-exist.
My only requirements for being a roommate is that my space is respected, and that I’m treated with respect. I’ve had problems in the past with roommates that have taken advantage of me and treated me disrespectfully, and I just need to make sure that any future roommates know how much I value being treated with respect and dignity. This extends to anyone I bring over, especially my partner, as they are important to me, and I want them to be treated in the same way as I or you would want to be treated. If we are able to maintain that respect, then we’ll never have any problems. If there is something you wish to discuss with me about, or there’s something I need to do or do better with, I encourage you to always talk with me about it. If I am ever in the wrong about anything, feel comfortable in talking to me about it, and I will strive to do better.
