Seeking: One roommate with whom to find a 2-bedroom, 1-bath home/apartment in the Danforth/Riverdale area.

Budget: Ideal is $1200 plus utilities, as my portion of a shared rent with someone. So somewhere around $2300 to $2500/month, but I’d be willing to go to $2600 for the right cute place. Move-In and Term: Early January. Feb 1st if need be. Would prefer a one-year min, as I’d love to settle into a place.

Preferences & Requirements: Unfurnished; laundry onsite; Preferably not a basement unless it’s particularly nice or worth it; I don’t have any allergies, dietary restrictions, or pets.

Locations: Danforth/Riverdale area, ideally within walking distance to a green line station, somewhere between Broadview and Woodbine.

Hey there! I’m Bex (she/her), a 24-year-old sound designer, mixer, and audio technician for theatre and live events. Born and raised in TO, I’ve spent the last few years doing regional theatre contracts around Ontario, and working in the city in between. However my plan is to stay put in the city for the next few years. I’m looking for a place to settle into for that time. Natural light and laundry are big ones for me, and I’d love to create a cool, vibey, cozy, artsy space to call home. I have a few places I’ve been looking at on FB and Kijiji.

While I get pretty busy with work, I value my life outside it. My gigs often have me out of the house at odd hours, but I love a good night’s sleep. I try to stay active, and like trying new activities and exploring new places, but will certainly take a day holed up in my room from time to time. I try and cook and meal prep for each week, and like a clean, organized, cozy space. I’m not a big clubber or partier, and prefer a chiller game night or movie night (I love a theme party though, and love to dance) I drink occasionally and don’t really smoke weed, but can be open to someone who does some of either, or neither. I’m happy to chat and hang, but also each do our own thing.

I love to travel, and enjoy a hiking adventure, thrifting, seeking out a sweet treat, movie nights, and concerts. I like to dance, box, read, and do DIY projects. I love decorating a space with cool eclectic stuff. I’m a sci-fi/fantasy nerd. I love music and like to play guitar, but have gotten out of the practice in the last little while. I like meeting new people, but will also recharge with alone time.
