I am looking for either another mom or a single older woman to share a place with. I homeschool my young primary school kid part time. We are sometimes in, and love to be out for homeschooling (skating, library, museum, etc.) Aside from kids being kids, we are not loud. We like to cook, bake and go for walks. I would love to find someone we could get along with and become friends. We will respect your space and things, and are open to sharing things as well. I don’t have people over often and when we do, they’re gone by 8:30pm. We can discuss and come up with a plan that works for both of us to share the space amicably. I am clean. I like to save money and energy (i.e. I hang laundry on a rack instead of using the dryer, space providing.) I am a kind, caring person. I am currently a stay-at-home mom (though am happy to go to the library to give you space). Previously, I worked as an informal educator and event coordinator, organizing and providing life skill workshops to high school students. I have also worked in long-term care as a recreation therapist, with dementia care my specialty. I enjoy weekly meet ups with my friend group (usually at their place). My kiddo is thoughtful of others, often saying things like “ I’m sorry you have an eyelash in your wye, would you like a hug?“, or making sure the lights are turned off. We generally clean up our toys before leaving that room. She enjoys painting and reading. I am looking for a no-pets, non-smoking family/person to live with. We are open to any religious or cultural practices in the home. We do not push our religion on others. I am happy to have meals with you (or not), and to watch each others’ kids (or not) (should we get to that comfort level). I will ensure the fridge is cleaned out and the bathroom is clean, though want a roommate who will share in the overall household cleaning. We wake up around 7am, though can sleep through early risers. She sleeps with a sound machine so I’m not worried about you making noise after she falls asleep. As safety for my kiddo is a priority, I ask for a police record check and I of course will provide one to you. Our kids come first, right?! Looking forward to meeting you.
