Description
Hey there :) It’s finally happening! I’m moving to Victoria in mid-April on a Canadian IEC Visa from Europe with my dog Cleo. She’s been my best friend and companion for the past 1.5 years - super well-behaved, rarely barks, and we’ve never had issues with previous landlords or rental units. Our hope is to find a shared space to call home with some nice roommates that we vibe with, while also respecting each others spaces.
A bit about me: My name is Janine, I’m 33, half-German/half-Italian and studied Psychology. I’ve been traveling a lot over the years, but I’m ready to settle down and make Victoria my long-term home. I’m currently applying for mental health support worker and housing support roles with people experiencing homelessness and addiction - the demand seems huge in Victoria, so I’m confident I’ll land a job once I arrive. I come with substantial savings though, so rent isn’t a concern while I’m getting settled.
In my freetime I fluctuate between culture & nature. I love cinema (used to work in the field), live concerts, exhibitions while also spending lots of time exploring the forests and the ocean. Generally my party days are over, I don’t drink, and only smoke an occasional cigarette outside (actively working on quitting this horrible habit).
I’d be happy to connect with you if you feel like it could possibly be a good fit for you! Greetings from sunny Tenerife, Janine & Cleo
