Looking for a furnished place for the rest of fall? This private room could suit a student, someone on a temporary placement, or someone needing a place between homes.

DATES: Flexible move-in date. Stays of one month or longer considered; preference for someone staying through December. Latest move-out January 1, 2027, when my roommate returns from research.

PRICE: $1,100/month, fixed throughout your stay. Moving in during October? Pay only for the remaining days, prorated proportionally.

LOCATION: Yonge & Gerrard. TMU, the Eaton Centre, transit, groceries and shops are minutes away.

THE APARTMENT: You’ll have the private bedroom; I use the living room as my sleeping area. You’ll share the kitchen and one bathroom with me. This is a temporary roommate arrangement.

INCLUDED: Wi-Fi, electricity, heat, building pool access and furnishings. Paid shared laundry is available in the building; parking is not included.

🛏️ MOVE-IN READY

Bed with a new duvet, height-adjustable desk, simple office chair, two monitors, big-screen TV and several shelves and storage units.

🧸 SPACE FOR YOUR BELONGINGS

Decorative items and belongings shown in the available storage spaces can be cleared for yours. The white-door closet is available for your belongings; the sliding-door closet remains reserved for my returning roommate. We can discuss your storage needs during the viewing.

🌱 A ROOM FOR A PLANT LOVER

Plants will remain in the bedroom, with grow lights on a timer. I’ll handle weekly watering and occasional plant-health checks, with room access arranged with you in advance.

🍳 ENJOY COOKING?

The shared kitchen has an espresso machine, air fryer, cookware, immersion blender and a selection of spices.

🚿 BATHROOM

Shared bathroom with bathtub, handheld showerhead and bidet sprayer.

PAYMENT AND AGREEMENT

Written roommate agreement. A $550 last month’s rent deposit is due at signing and applied toward your final month’s rent. Rent for your initial partial month is due by move-in. No damage deposit.

👋 A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Ian. I’ve lived in this downtown apartment for several years and have shared it with roommates over that time.

My background is in software development, and I’m naturally curious about technology, science and how things work. I enjoy exploring new ideas, tinkering with computers, AI, 3D modelling and creative projects. I’m also into board games and video games, and enjoy a good conversation, whether it’s about something thoughtful, nerdy or just for fun.

🏡 WHAT LIVING TOGETHER IS LIKE

I enjoy friendly conversation and getting to know the people I live with, but also appreciate having our own space and independence. There’s no expectation to socialize all the time!

Home is generally a relaxed, quieter environment, with occasional conversation and video calls. I’m considerate about noise, happy to use headphones when needed, and appreciate the same consideration in return.

Since my sleeping area is in the living room beside the kitchen, keeping kitchen activity quiet later in the evening is particularly important.

🤝 A GOOD ROOMMATE FIT

I’m hoping to share the apartment with someone friendly, considerate and communicative, who generally cleans up soon after using shared spaces and respects each other’s belongings and privacy.

I’d rather have a comfortable, cooperative arrangement where we can talk openly about everyday things than a long list of rigid rules.
